Opulent Pools were tasked with turning this 1970’s swimming pool in Maidstone, into a sleek modern pool while keeping in character with the house.
First, we stripped the existing pool back to bare bones and then we started making provisions for the new pipework.
The pool was to have a skimmer, two sumps, a vacuum point, and two new inlets.
The customer asked to raise the depth from 2.3m to 2.0m and to be a flat floor. We then squared off the pool surround making it more aesthetically pleasing.
Once this was complete we concreted the new swimming pool floor as well as the new swimming pool surround.
Our next task was to lay the new surrounding coping stones and render the complete swimming pool with a SIKA waterproofer.
We then paved the surround with buff Indian stone and tiled the swimming pool with 25mm black glass mosaics. Lastly we acid washed the complete pool and put in the hose.
