Opulent Pools are luxury swimming pool builders; designing, constructing, installing, and refurbishing indoor and outdoor pools throughout Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London, and across the South East of England.
The first day on site is a crucial one as it sets the precedence and guides to follow. Here, we begin marking out the 7m x 3m dimensions of the swimming pool.
We get a feel for the final impact of the pool’s final aesthetics with the excavation clearly mapped out at this early stage; it is also an exciting procedure for the client to see their pool etched out on the surface too!
Once excavated the next stage is preparing the steel for the concrete. It really feels like progress is happening and the pool is taking shape once the mix has been added and gone off. Now time to start the build!
Full concrete shell complete. The next step is to install the pipe fittings before concrete is poured down the centre of all walls. Again, a very satisfying stage of the construction. Pipe fittings installed and reinforced concreted walls provide solidity to the pools’ structure.
Sandstone perimeter pavings are then laid and the SIKA waterproof rendering begins. Once the rendering has been completed we can begin a very, although rewarding, intricate, and time-hungry part of the job – the mosaics! The client will often enjoy this part of the build as their input is welcomed in regards to the design, look and feel of the tiles.
The decking surrounding work soon begins. We often match this work in with exiting landscaping and/or woodwork as it will often join up with exiting decking or run up close, flush with pre-established patio/paving areas of the garden.
At this stage of the project, all the pipework will be installed and complete, running to a central hub where we create the plant room. The plant room is finished with UV sanitation and our all-season air source heat pump to keep the pool useable all year round.
Over-joyed client and project complete in just 4 weeks. However, things did go smoothly, or shall we say swimmingly – I might add!
