We were tasked with the installation of an 11 m × 5 m bespoke swimming pool in the heart of Oxshott, with a carefully considered depth profile of 1.2 m to 1.8 m. From the outset, the brief was clear: to create a pool that was modern, sleek and architecturally clean, whilst also delivering outstanding efficiency, safety and long-term performance.
The pool was constructed as a fully insulated, shot-concrete structure, ensuring exceptional heat retention and structural longevity that will serve the family for decades.
Heating is provided by a high-efficiency inverter air-source heat pump, offering precise temperature control with significantly reduced running costs compared to traditional systems.
The pool is fitted with a Certikin automatic safety cover. This provides peace of mind by securing the pool when not in use, whilst also playing a major role in heat retention and evaporation control, further reducing energy consumption.
On the filtration side, the pool benefits from a UV sanitation system, dramatically reducing the need for chemicals whilst maintaining crystal-clear water. This is paired with a variable-speed circulation pump, allowing the system to operate at optimal flow rates and potentially reducing energy consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional single-speed pumps.
For the internal finish, we specified premium Ezarri mosaics from the Zen Collection, chosen for their refined tones, durability and flawless finish. The result is a pool interior that feels calm, luxurious and timeless, perfectly complementing the modern design brief.
