Opulent Pools produces luxury, high-end pools that deliver on every level. This latest indoor swimming pool built in Warnham, near Horsham, West Sussex, and Sussex is no exception and exudes unrivalled excellence.
This pool was no mean feat, commanding a 12m x 4m footprint and contained within a stunning, contemporary building adjoining the main house. Size does indeed matter, big is beautiful and this was set to become a stunning work of art.
Bringing in the big guns. In order to get through all the layers of exiting concrete we had to enlist the bolstered assistance of a 5-tonne excavator. Once the hole is dug it is time for the shuttering to be installed – feels like progress!
The next stage is shotcrete for the pool shell. Shotcrete is a popular choice for constructing the shell of an outdoor swimming pool due to several advantages it offers:
Shotcrete is a type of concrete that is pneumatically applied at high velocity, creating a dense and strong structure. This strength is important for withstanding the water pressure and other external forces placed on the pool’s shell.

Here we patiently wait, anticipating the completion of the surrounding building to a specific stage before proceeding. Every detail in this construction is crucial, as the building itself plays a pivotal role in achieving the desired end result, encompassing the overall look and feel—the elusive “wow factor” that we tirelessly pursue.
Regular site visits are conducted to monitor the progress. Once the installation is complete, and the sliding doors are fitted, we initiate the rendering and finishing of the pool. With the rendered walls now fully done, we embark on the next step—adding exquisite porcelain tiles around the pool. The chosen Ezarri Metal Lava tiles contribute a practical and contemporary aesthetic to this impressive pool.
Now comes the eagerly anticipated moment—the filling of the pool. The magic unfolds as the water takes on the colour refracted from the meticulously chosen tiles. The carefully planned lighting adds another dimension to the ambiance of this extraordinary space. We can hardly contain our excitement!
To complete the project, we install the Certikin safety cover. Beyond its safety function, it contributes to a sleek appearance when not in use. Opulent Pools, you’ve once again exceeded our expectations—let’s pause, celebrate, and admire this truly magnificent swimming pool build!
