It is our first day on site for this exciting swimming pool renovation in Barnes, Richmond. Everything starts swimmingly, with our client asking us to reduce the existing pool size from 13 metres x 6 metres to a more compact 11 metres by 4 metres. The pool’s internal structure will be intricately finished with green Ezari tiles, with the surround in classic Indian sandstone.
Our very first task is to drain the pool. With any swimming pool refurbishment, removing all water allows us to begin our preparatory phase. We will install a new concrete shell within the existing swimming pool.
With this particular swimming pool reconstruction in Barnes, Richmond, the entire plumbing is to be replaced. We dig a trench to the plant room, in preparation for new pipework and fittings to be installed.
The existing swimming pool is now dry and all the preparatory work is complete. We will now install the new concrete swimming pool shell as the transformation and swimming pool improvement begins.
With the new and more compact concrete swimming pool shell complete, we will now start the installation of underground services to and from the pool.
The services are now installed and in place. It is time to turn our attention to the surrounding pavings. The rejuvenation of the pool and its borders start to take shape.
The pavings are now complete. Our client asked for the timeless sophistication of natural mint Indian sandstone. This is laid from a project pack, a ready-to-assemble patio kit. The next stage in our swimming pool renovation and refurbishment is the tiling.
Our client in Barnes, Richmond, adores the verdance of her garden and asks if we can blend the new swimming pool into its natural surroundings. Introducing the exquisite Ezarri tile! This high-end tile gives the swimming pool a green tone which perfectly complements its environment.
The tiling and grouting is complete. The new swimming pool receives a mild acid wash to remove the fine layer of cement which has been left from the construction stage. This leaves the tiles with an immaculate sheen and ensures our super shiny swimming pool is ready to be refilled with clean water.
The project is complete. Viewed from above, the astounding results of this aquamarine makeover are for all to see. Our customer is over the moon with the result!
