Every Opulent Pools project begins with meticulous consultation. Our initial site visit involves an in-depth discussion with the client to determine the precise positioning -in this instance, towards the rear of the property, strategically located adjacent to the pool room. Once the exacting measurements are confirmed and the area carefully marked out, excavation commences with military precision.
With excavation complete, the foundation stage reveals the true scale of this ambitious project. We ensure generous clearance within the excavation to accommodate not just the pool structure itself, but a comprehensive insulation envelope-essential for year-round comfort and energy efficiency in the British climate.
The concrete shell now takes shape, engineered to exacting standards and incorporating a dedicated chamber for the safety cover mechanism. This discreet recess ensures the cover can be stowed seamlessly beneath the coping, maintaining the clean, uninterrupted lines that define contemporary luxury pool design.
Following expert rendering of the pool shell, we’ve completed the installation of gorgeous tumbled limestone paving around the entire perimeter. This natural stone surround provides the perfect canvas for what follows – the intricate tiling process that will transform this concrete vessel into a gleaming aquatic jewel.
The tiling stage demands patience, precision, and an unwavering eye for detail – qualities that define the Opulent Pools approach. This meticulous, time-intensive process involves thousands of individual tiles, each carefully positioned and grouted to create a flawless, waterproof finish. This enduringly popular feature remains very much on-trend, with many discerning clients specifically requesting this stunning design element. We’ve added a thoroughly modern dimension with an integrated bench seat – providing additional lounging space and transforming the steps into a social hub. Contrasting tile work brilliantly accentuates these features, creating visual drama and architectural interest.
With the main construction complete, we’re ready to install the automatic safety cover into its purpose-built pit. This ingenious system provides essential protection when the pool is not in use, whilst disappearing entirely when retracted – the ultimate fusion of safety and aesthetics.
