Today we broke ground on an exciting new bespoke swimming pool installation in Oxshott, Surrey — a project commissioned by a family with one clear ambition: a beautiful, high-performance pool they can enjoy every single day of the year, whatever the season.
The brief is set and the specification is impressive. This family-sized pool will measure 11 m × 5 m with a depth profile of 1.2 m to 1.8 m — ideal for everything from leisurely swims to serious lengths. From the outset, safety and efficiency have been built into the design: a Certikin automatic safety cover will protect the family and retain precious heat, UV filtration will keep the water crystal clear with minimal chemicals, and an inverter air-source heat pump will deliver year-round warmth without the running costs of traditional heating systems.
Excavation is under way for the pool shell, and this is no ordinary dig. The property is also undergoing a basement installation, which means precision is everything — the pool has been carefully engineered to sit at exactly the right height so that the family can step straight out of their basement and onto the pool surround seamlessly.
